Event and Catering Coordinator, Recent Business School Graduate

Introduction

Personal Statement

I recently graduated from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with an emphasis on international business and marketing. This education helped me develop my strategic communication styles through platforms like Google, Microsoft, and Zoom, as I had to adapt to a hybrid class environment in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. I also realized my advantage of leading my peers and colleagues to complete valuable deliverables.  I simultaneously completed my Bachelor of Innovation with a cross-disciplinary core of globalization. This unique education taught me how to turn my creative ideas into impact. I evolved skills like grant and patent writing, small business consulting, and small self-organized team leadership.

I finished my last semester in the fall of 2022 during an exchange program at Radboud University in Nijmegen, Netherlands. My multi-faceted undergraduate gave me a unique experience working with and leading colleagues from different backgrounds.

Following my studies in January of 2023, I took some time to travel for the next 7 months. During this time, I documented my experiences and created my personal travel blog. I also took this time to learn German at a speaking working proficiency.

After my travel hiatus, I began my career in events as an Event and Catering Coordinator at Mount Vernon Canyon Club. MVCC is a private club that specializes in small, medium, and large-sized private events. This position has allowed me to develop my coordinating skills including time management, attention to detail, and strategic communication. As an event coordinator, I have also flourished in the sales-driven role by selling food and beverage packages, communicating with potential leads, and converting large sales into meaningful experiences. My high energy and passion for live events make me an ideal fit for any team.

Check out my Budget Travel Blog!

I created a travel blog as a way to create a following for my extensive travels. The purpose of this website is to share first-hand knowledge through stories and suggestions. Everything created on this website is original, including the pictures and writings. Click the button below to learn more about my purpose for creating Sean’s Budget Travels! Overall, this is one of my favorite hobbies.

On Sean’s Budget Travels, I write about travel advice in countries. Recently, I have written about Scotland, Italy, Belgium, France, Germany and more. I also wrote about my time studying abroad in the Netherlands and living temporarily in Berlin.
